GardePro Bird Camera E8PCF Advanced Settings for Capturing Birds

1. Shooting modes

There are three shooting modes(Motion detection, Time lapse and Hybrid)

Motion detection mode: We recommend using shooting in Motion detection mode to capture birds in action. It saves the camera battery because it only activates the camera when something is happening.

Time lapse mode: Shoots at a fixed time everyday. For birds, set time lapse mode to shoot early mornings or late evenings. Use it to showcase the passage of time or bird behaviour like the growth of a bird's nest from eggs to fledglings.

Hybrid: Combines the features of both motion detection and time-lapse.

2. Capture settings

Choose to capture birds in photo or video form. Choose photo quality from 2MP to 48MP

Photo burst format is for action shots. It is great for recording and surveilling birds because they are really quick. Customize the number of photos taken in a burst – from 1P to 5P.

3. Video settings

For bird videos, select your quality settings from 720P to 1296P. Use 1080P for crisp videos that show the intricate details like feather patterns of a bird.

The 1296P creates an immersive viewing experience. It captures every nuance of the wildlife world.

Video length (daytime/night time ): 3 seconds to 5 minutes

If you want a quick snippet of a bird flying or landing on a branch, go for 3 to 60 seconds length. On the other hand, a 3 to 5 minutes video length is enough for you to get an in-depth look at bird behaviour.

4. Video sound: Turn on or off

Keeping the audio on in your videos adds to the depth of your footage. Enable sounds to capture the rustle of leaves, bird calls and chirping.

5. Video format: MP4/MOV

MP4 is a widely supported video format. It is easy to share and playback on multiple devices.

MOV: Videos in MOV format are easy to edit. They also retain high-quality video data.

6. Detection and recording settings

Detection delay: Set a delay for motion detection, ranging from 0 to 1 hour especially when surveilling windy areas with branches moving constantly. Setting a delay will reduce false triggers.

A detection delay also helps with research purposes especially when animals have predictable patterns.

7. PIR sensitivity

You can adjust PIR (Passive Infrared) sensitivity to low, medium or high. Set your PIR sensitivity to high in areas with frequent bird activity.
